About the EMU Longtail Cargo
A longtail keeps the wheelbase and the carrying capacity at the back, which makes it easier to ride than a front-loader and lets it hold a child seat, a crate or a week of shopping on the same rack. The EMU Longtail pairs a Bafang rear hub motor with a fully integrated 36V 13Ah battery and quotes around 50 miles of assistance.
Because a loaded cargo bike takes longer to stop than an unladen one, EMU fit Tektro hydraulic disc brakes rather than cable discs, and the build runs on 20x4.0 Kenda tyres with 7-speed Shimano gearing. It arrives 98 per cent assembled with everything shown included; the kids seat is a £120 option on the configurator above.
