About the EMU Evo Step Through
Light weight matters more on a step-through than on any other bike, because the whole point is that it is easy to handle - and at 18.5kg the Evo step-through is the lightest one we stock. The 18in frame opens up the standover, and the Samsung battery is built into it rather than hung on a rack.
Mechanically it is the same as the crossbar Evo: a 250W rear hub motor with five assist levels and a colour display, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, a 7-speed derailleur and Kenda puncture-resistant 700x38C tyres, with front and rear lights running off the main battery. EMU quote 20 to 50 miles of assistance per charge.
