About the EMU Classic Crossbar
Most e-bikes at this price use a derailleur, which means a chain to keep clean and gears that want to be moving before they will shift. The Classic instead uses Enviolo stepless hub gearing: twist and it moves through an effectively infinite range, change down at a standstill, and there is no front derailleur or cassette to maintain.
The rest of it is built for comfort and daily use - a 24kg aluminium frame on 700c puncture-resistant tyres, a Shengyi front hub motor with five assist levels through a colour display, Tektro V-brakes with an integrated bell in the brake lever, and front and rear lights fed from the battery. EMU quote 30 to 50 miles from the 10.4Ah pack, or 40 to 60 from the 14.5Ah option.
